It does smart contracts and dAPPs, you can run an ICO on it, it is the base currency for the Stellar network which is a decentralized exchange platform. You can send a ton of money in less than a second and the fee is thousandths of a penny. The foundation is investing a ton of effort in promoting it in the third world, where merchants cannot handle the large transactions fees of traditional finance. It has a chance at legitimate mainstream adoption and becoming the legendary "coin you can buy coffee with".
And I say this owning no Stellar at present (though maybe I should). |
