What exactly is XO's justification for hyping Zilliqa?

(double post from other board, not sure who reads which)
I've been studying XO's takes on alts very closely and XO has made me some money. Thank you for that. Everyone was on the ETH train. But since then there's been a lot of static. Zilliqa seems to be different, however, and has wide spread support on XO.
Why?
Is sharding that unique? I was told by some big crypto nuts that's not novel. What is the hype for this coin?
tyia.

the hype is usually all that matters and the hype is insane.
beyond that, its a legit project filled with legit people. its not a money grab; their ico hard cap is in the 30mn dollar range.
if you can get in at less than 5x ico price consider yourself lucky and hold it for a year. and youll be at 100x ico price assuming crypto doesnt tank.

Network congestion is a major issue for existing blockchain protocols—a stupid kitty dapp shouldn’t cripple the second biggest cryptocurrency. For the time being, however, the issue will persist, as Ethereum (and the vast majority of other protocols, PoS and PoW both) are ages away from implementing sharding or any other viable scalability solution.
Zilliqa appears to be only months away. Its tech is very promising (and not just for its use of sharding). Of course, to get to where IOTA, EOS, and their ilk are currently, it will need wide community support on top of many native dapps; there’s a chance it never truly catches on. OTOH, their valuation at the ICO stage is so modest this is IMO a can’t-miss risk-adjusted bet.
