I seriously doubt that will happen based on what I've read but what about ICOs? Is it possible ICOs will be declared securities?
I have to imagine that if ICOs are considered securities, that will have a negative impact on ETH

They are going to let ETH be but the future ICOs are toast. Maybe they will advocate for some new regulatory framework for them. Because ETH does nothing other than ICO's that might not be great for the price, but who knows.
I don't view today's price action as being related to anything, frankly

It is all Korea. They went nuts last year, and then continually dumped during the crash.
Some Korean politicians are trying to legalize ICO's which might be causing them to go.l nuts again
