They didn't understand that gamergate was just an unfair, politically motivated attack by disingenuous left-wing actors who claimed to be "journalists".
If you were an outsider to XO today, and you had to understand the drama surrounding a weird, fringe website that billed itself as the most prestigious law discussion in the world, but was populated with racists, nude bodybuilders, self-deported Korean PUAs, guys who name themselves with semicolons and claim to be hung studs, dinosaur experts, white genocide promoters, and whatever the fuck Lisa Rowe is, you wouldn't understand.
But you get it now. The feeling you have right now is the same feeling that the gaming community had when they were under attack by a malicious press, and came together to fight back.
I hate that XO has to go through this experience. But at least now you guys get it. |
