Katerina Bardos, 24, was arrested and is being held in the Weld County Jail pending an appearance in court.

Bardos holds a Colorado teaching license for elementary education, which was issued in 2013.

According to Greeley Police Department spokesman J.P. Tymkowych, an investigation revealed that the relationship began while the victim was in her class during the last school year. She subsequently transferred to another school, but Tymkowych says the charges allege that Bardos' sexual relationship with the student continued.
