When the cops asked questions about why it was a clock and what the idea of bringing it to school was, he had nothing to say. Because his story doesn't make sense.

In today's environment the school would have been derelict if they didn't call in that thing. Have you seen it?

The cops did over react by arresting him. They should have taken the device and sent the kid home, like schools do when a white boy nibbles his pop tart into the shape of a pistol.

His dad is an activist and attention seeker for the cause of fighting anti-Islamophobia.

He was called a bomb thrower at school before it all went down. He says that when he build the clock he took steps to make it less suspicious. That means he knew in advance that it could cause suspicion. The first teacher who saw it confirmed that by telling him not to let other see it.

He didn't really build a clock. He bought (or did his parent buy it?) an old electronic clock, presumably off of eBay. Coincidentally, a clock of that type was the one used in the Air India 182 bombing, which killed hundreds.

Once he bought the old electronic clock, he took off the cover and exposed the insides (again, realizing it would look suspicious).

Although he was warned to not show it again he did. Supposedly the second teacher heard beeping or something. This part is less clear to me. Did he keep it running? Plug it in? Use the alarm feature?

Naturally the school did what it should: get the device and ask him questions. Not surprisingly he did not have good answers. Officers say he was passive aggressive when asked questions. There was no real reason to bring it to school, he knew in advance it would be seen as suspicious and the first teacher warned him.

There was no need to arrest him. They should have suspended him for a few days.

You will hear and read almost none of this in the mainstream media.

Anyway, you're right that he shouldn't have been arrested. He should have been taken to the principal's office while the police quickly determined it wasn't a bomb. Not sure a suspension would be appropriate either.

Mistakes were made, but this race-baiting bullshit shows why all Muslims should be deported.
