Some were more sophisticated but there were very tiny obscure ones where some person just wrote and photocopied stuff. You often found out about other zines that way, like they would have a section in the back listing other zines with the person's address, and you mailed them cash, then you got a zine in return.
No, I would be given mixtapes as gifts.
LJL at downloading music in 1995. These were cassette tapes that had music on them recorded from CDs or maybe another cassette (that was considered very sophisticated). |
