Date: April 27th, 2016 9:43 AM Author: Insanely creepy boyish school cafeteria headpube As best I can tell, there's a clique of SJWs who started about a decade ago on sites like Something Awful and have expanded since then to Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, etc, and who are mostly just involved with this "social justice" stuff because they like trolling people and this gives them a way to do it. A fair number of them are trannies or otherwise within the UMC white sexual degenerate wing of social justice, so presumably the parts of the movement intended to defend those sorts of people are the ones in which they might have some amount of sincere belief. In private they reportedly have no problem being racist, and were rather openly such before they turned SJW and pretended to disavow their previous actions.
There are also various leaders in the government, media, and tech companies who have various reasons for wanting to censor the internet and get rid of any shred of anonymity (to prevent people from criticizing them in comments section, on Twitter, and on forums/imageboards, as well as to make more ad money), and they've chosen the cyber-bullying angle as a way to do this. They make it seem like their focus is all on unambiguous cases of bullying (middle school kids using the internet to bully kids whom they also bully in real life, actual death threats) while in practice also censoring criticism from political opponents.
It's not obvious to me how unified they are into an actual conspiracy. There are also some hints that the SJW side has some conflicts with the truly powerful people in that the former want to be able to bully other people anonymously under the guise of social justice while the latter would prefer to just track everybody all the time. |
