Uber is getting fucked right now because (1) governments have decided to start regulating them and not buying the "we're just an app" bullshit, and (2) they were purposely operating at a loss, but the loss was too steep. I've had multiple trips where, as long as you pay with cash, taxis are significantly cheaper than Uber. They've ingrained this idea with the public that Uber is a cheaper option, when they should have been competing on convenience. |
