‘DISGUSTING’ OUTBURST Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ‘branded a “f**king b**ch” by GOP lawmaker’ in heated Capitol Hill spat

Nicole Darrah, News Reporter

ALEXANDRIA Ocasio-Cortez was reportedly accosted on Monday when a Florida lawmaker called her a “f**king b**ch.”

The freshman rep from New York was on the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington, DC, when Representative Ted Yoho, a Republican from Florida, approached her.

According to The Hill, Yoho told the 30-year-old Democrat she was “disgusting” for suggesting earlier this month that the recent surge in New York City crime is because people are “stealing bread to feed their kids.”

"Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren't paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent and so they go out and they need to feed their child and they don't have money,” she said during a virtual town hall on Facebook.

“They feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry."

Yoho told Ocasio-Cortez of her remarks: “You are out of your freaking mind.”

The freshman rep told Yoho, who has been in office since 2013, that he was being “rude.”

At that point, Ocasio-Cortez headed into the building to cast a vote, while Yoho and Republican Texas Representative Roger Williams walked toward the House office buildings.

Per The Hill, Yoho said aloud: “F**king b**ch.”

On Tuesday, a spokesperson form Yoho's office told The Sun that Yoho "had a brief member to member conversation on the steps of the Capitol" on Monday.

Yoho's office disputed the report about him allegedly calling Ocasio-Cortez a "b**ch," and said Yoho didn't call her "any name for that matter."

The office, however, did admit Yoho "made a brief comment to himself as he walked away summarizing what he believes her policies to be: bulls**t."

Ocasio-Cortez told the news outlet: "That kind of confrontation hasn't ever happened to me — ever.”

"I've never had that kind of abrupt, disgusting kind of disrespect levied at me."

Yoho declined to comment on his exchange with AOC to The Hill hours later.

The heated exchanged reportedly came after Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the Queens and Bronx boroughs of the city, blamed the spike on the economic decline from the coronavirus pandemic on July 9.

“Do we think this has to do with the fact that ... people are at a level of economic desperation that we have not seen?”

Within the week she made those remarks, the city reported 43 shootings — which was up more than 300 percent from the same time last year.

During the Fourth of July weekend, 10 people were killed, as crime surged more than 130 percent in June, compared to June 2019.

New York Police Department Chief Terence Monahan said the recent bloodshed has shown there are consequences to some reforms they see as misguided, particularly on bail reform.

Monahan said criminals feel “that the cops can’t do anything anymore, that no one likes the police, that they can get away with things, that it’s safe to carry a gun out on the street.”

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said: “The sharp increase in shootings and violence in New York puts innocent people at risk and tears at the fabric of life in our city.”

“The challenges are great for an NYPD facing the strain of deep budget cuts, changes to the criminal justice system that are impacting the courts, and the continuing international health pandemic.”

He continued: “But through it all, I have seen our hardworking men and women display an unwavering commitment to the kind of fair and effective policing that defines our agency and that New Yorkers expect and deserve.”

Ocasio-Cortez suggested that cutting funds from the city police department would help stop crime, as the money would benefit social programs.

Referring to the proposed 15 percent cut to the department’s $6million budget, she said: “The New York City police department has not been defunded.”

“These cuts aren’t really real. And again, they haven’t even happened yet.”

he sounds like a very good christian southern boy.

this is not his fault though. we need to recognize that this absurdity will continue as long as we allow trumpmos to continue voting. these "people" cannot be part of a first world country at least not as full citizens.
