Subject: most prestigious fed agencies?

after the SEC, DOJ, and IRS, list several other agencies that command respect and would eventually lead to lucrative jobs in the private sector? (either in-house or firm)

SSA.

Best job for a JD in the fed.

Start out as a writer at GS9. Move up to GS 11 after a year then 12 a year later. Then apply to be a senior attorney. Ten years later become an ALJ making 180k a year for life with pension and mad benifits.

Most prestigious--the Federal Reserve, Treasury, State, and the intelligence agencies. (Not sure if State and the intelligence agencies really lead to good private sector jobs, though.)

Nah, I don't think they can really be ranked. They're all pretty prestigious, and they do different things. Plus their prestige kinda varies based on who is in office.

Energy and FTA are both highly prestigious. I would also add basically anyone who is SES is prestigious.
